Where will future troops come from?

The draft ended thirty years ago. We had every right to expect that it was dead forever. It was the common opinion that wars would be fought with technology, not troops. A volunteer force would be sufficient to run this technological army. The Iraq war has shown us that a determined politician can expend our manpower and leave our armed forces undermanned. There's a retention problem being created by forced deployment extensions. In short, here comes the draft. If you're under 26 you should consider your vote very carefully.
