'Let's clear up one point: We didn't start the war on terror.
Try to remember. It was started by terrorists on 9/11.'

The problem is that the 'war on terror' isn't a real war. There is no one enemy, because there is no unified terrorist conspiracy.

So while its true that bush didn't start the 'war on terror' he DID start the war on Iraq and the war on Afghanistan, since the people in those countries were not the same people who initianted the 9/11 attacks.

True, but Germany delcared war on US, so it wasn't preemptive on FDR's part

North Korea DID attack our ally however, so once agian it wasn't truly pre-emptive. Plus, the korean war was a UN action, not an American one.
