BUSH Conservatives
Dear Bush "Conservatives":
Please do not refer to yourselves as "conservatives", we TRUE conservatives know the difference and wouldn't support Bush if he was running against Mickey Mouse.
Conservatives believe in fiscal responsibility and balanced budgets. Bush is the biggest borrow-and-spender in American history.
Conservatives believe in smaller government. Bush has grown the Federal government to it's largest size ever.
Conservatives believe in a cautious, non-interventionist foreign policy. Bush pursues an aggressive, militaristic foreign policy with emphasis on "nation-building".
Conservatives favor the rights of the individual. Bush pushes for expanded police powers.
Bush is completely unworthy of conservative support. Conservatives must either take back the Republican Party, or we must find another party that reflects our values. Either way, Bush must go.
On the other hand... NEO-CONS follow the Leo Strauss political philosophies...
"Perpetual war, not perpetual peace, is what Straussians believe in, an "aggressive, belligerent foreign policy," of the kind that has been advocated by neocon groups like PNAC and AEI scholars – not to mention Wolfowitz and other administration hawks who have called for a world order dominated by U.S. military power." - "The American Conservative" magazine - May 2004

"But here is the rub: The neocons do not want to narrow our list of enemies. They do not want to confine America’s war to those who attacked us. They want to expand our list of enemies to include Israel’s enemies. They want to escalate and widen what Chris Matthews calls “the Firemen’s War” into a war for hegemony in the Middle East.
They had hoped to exploit 9/11 to erect an empire, and as they see the vision vanish, their desperation knows no bounds." - "The American Conservative" magazine - March 2004

"The Cost of Empire - President Bush’s war policy marks the beginning of the end of America’s era of global dominance."
