I love this country. I love this country because its been so good to me. So much that I volunteered to risk my life. I received medals for my service. Maybe I deserved them. Maybe I didn't. I did something else. I agreed to kill for my country. And I did it more than once. And I came back with such a detestation for what I had to do, in a war that looked to me like it never should have happened, and I said to myself that for the rest of my life I'm going to fight to make sure that we never go to war again unless beyond a reasonable doubt it's essential to do it. And that's why I am so unhappy about what happened here. I was mislead. I voted for this war. It will never happen again. Because I remember Vietnam.
