Recent events in TREASONGATE:
-Grand Jury investigating CIA leak subpoenaed AirForce1 records.
-Grand Jury subpoeaned Journalists and witnesses. Tim Russert who interviewed Wilson admitted that he was subpoenaed. Bob Novak refused to talk about it and referred to his own attorney.
-Witnesses testified before grandjury that Bush knew of the operation but refused to stop it.
-Grand Jury gave immunity to George Tenet to testify.
-Grand Jury subpoenaes Bush. His assistant declined to take questions about the subpoeana.
-Bush engages the services of a private attorney, Jim Sharp.
-George Tenet, as CIA head was bound by gag order by Bush. George Tenet resigns so he can testify.
Notice the timing here. They day after GWB secures a criminal attorney related to the Grand Jury investigation of the Plame Affair George Tenet resigns. It means GWB cannot refuse to allow Tenet to testify before the GJ under the theory of executive privilege.
Both Tenet and Bush know exactly who leaked the information to Novak and others.Tenet also has the evidence to prove it. Administration officials will testify before the Grand Jury and lie their azzes off. Once the Tenet testifies the entire bunch will be charged with perjury along with the leaker for revealing the name of Plame. "
